Purampokku character names revealed

The character names of Arya, Vijay Sethupathi, Shaam and Karthika in Purampokku has been revealed. These character names has a historical connections with it, as the director wished it should be. Arya's character was named as Balu. Vijay Sethupathi as Yaamalingam. Shaam as Macaulay, and Karthika as Kuyili. 

Balu is a legend born in madurai and lived in Andhra as a cop. Kuyili is a lieutenant of Velu Nachiyar.  Macaulay is the one who designed education system and punishment rules of British regime. Yaamalingam a brat. The movie is directed by SP Jhananathan. The movie is jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Sp Jhananathan's Binary pictures.
