Nimrat Kaur opposite Akshay Kumar in Airlift

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Airlift' is an edge-of-the-seat thriller which revolves around one of the biggest human evacuation in the history of the world. The film will go on floors in April 2015 and will be extensively shot in the Middle East.

Nimrat Kaur of 'Lunchbox' fame will play the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar. She will be seen as Akshay's wife in Airlift. This is the first time Nimrat is sharing the screen space with Akshay. 

Airlift is a concept inspired by real life incidents of human evacuation specially in war zone areas. Airlift is the story of Indians stranded in Kuwait during the Gulf War (1990). Akshay Kumar will play the lead role as Ranjit Katyal, a wealthy and powerful Indian businessman, who helps in the world’s biggest human evacuation.

Airlift will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon and produced by T-Series along with Cape of Good Films, Crouching Tigers and Emmay Entertainment.
