Anushka confirmed for Ajith in Thala 55

The most awaited Ajith Gautham Menon project is all set to kicstart from April 9 at Hyderabad. Gautham Menon who confirmed the news on his Twitter page is yet to officially reveal the details of the cast crew.

Anushka will be playing the female lead opposite Ajith. Director Vijay during the audio launch function of Saivam had revealed that Anushka will be playing the female lead in Thala 55 and had congratulated her for bagging Ajith's film.

Gautham Menon had hinted that he is eagerly waiting to announce the music composer. He tweeted, "I can't wait to announce the rest of the cast and crew. Especially music. Please wait for a special announcement about the music director." According to sources, Harris Jayaraj has been roped in as the music composer. 

Gautham Menon and Harris Jayaraj, who parted ways due to some differences a few years ago, seem to have buried the hatchet. This will be the first time they will be working together after their much-talked-about split. 

There is a buzz that Trisha also has been approached for the lead role apart from Anushka. Gautham Menon and Trisha have already worked together in 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya'' which topped the box office. However only an official announcement can clear the air.
