The makers of Moodar Koodam 2 have released the first look posters of the film. Billed as an action-comedy with fantasy elements, the film serves as a sequel to the 2013 hit directed by Naveen Hidayath.

Moodar Koodam 2 is written and directed by Naveen, who also headlines the film. Naveen had led the 2013 original as well, which followed four friends who take a family hostage in an attempt to escape poverty.

Sendrayan, Kuberan, Rajaj, Oviya and Jayaprakash are reprising their roles in Moodar Koodam 2 alongside Naveen.

Amrish and Natrajan Sankaran are composing the soundtrack for the film, with lyrics penned by Yugabarathi. Natrajan is also scoring the background music. The crew further includes cinematographer Sooraj Nallusaami, editor Athiappan Siva, art director K Arusamy and stunt choreographer Mahesh Mathew.

 Samkit Bohra and Kamal Bohra are producing Moodar Koodam 2 under the Grandel Pictures banner.
