Kamal Haasan has heaped praise on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey on the occasion of the filmmaker's 56th birthday, calling it a film that "belongs to the ages." Sharing the film's title poster — which carried the tagline "an experience of Kamal Haasan" — on Instagram, he wrote, "Homer dreamt it. Nolan dared it. I applauded it. Children of cinema, this film belongs to the ages. Must watch!"

The actor-director also hinted at sharing a documentary-style video of his experience watching the film, saying, "As The Odyssey continues its epic voyage across the world, my ode will greet audiences in theatres in India. I'll share it here soon." He ended with a playful jab: "P.S. The CBFC got the first preview! It approved."

The Odyssey, adapted from Homer's ancient Greek epic, follows Odysseus on his perilous journey home after the Trojan War and stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, among others.
