Jason Sanjay has hinted at an acting debut soon, telling Ananda Vikatan magazine that "there's an actor in me too," but that he will only make his appearance in front of the camera after his directorial debut Sigma releases. The comment has sparked excitement among fans already looking forward to the film.
Speaking about his directorial choices, Jason said he deliberately chose a heist film over the romantic story many expected from someone his age. "The prospect of making a heist film with a gang, instead of creating a love story with two people, excited me," he said, adding that Sundeep Kishan was his first choice for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual and that the actor immediately agreed after hearing the story.
Sigma, described as a high-stakes heist combining action, humour and treasure-hunt elements, features a cast including Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj and Anbu Thasan. Thaman composes the music, with Krishnan Vasant on cinematography. The film is set for a July 31 theatrical release.
