Swasika, who has been earning widespread praise for her performance in Nooru Saami, has opened up about the exploitation she faced as a newcomer trying to break into Tamil cinema. Speaking to JFW Binge, the actor recalled how fake managers would promise meetings with prominent filmmakers like AR Murugadoss in exchange for large sums of money.

She revealed that she was asked to pay one lakh rupees for an arranged meeting with Murugadoss, with agents convincing her that such payments were necessary for newcomers to secure opportunities. Her mother even considered selling her jewellery to fund these meetings, only for them to realise later that the filmmakers had no involvement and no auditions were taking place. Swasika also shared that some agents exploited her by making her pay for their meals under the guise of offering her work.

Drawing a parallel with her own experience, she likened it to her lawyer character in Karuppu, who solicits a client under false pretenses. "It was like how my character in Karuppu asks for biryani," she said.

Swasika rose to prominence in Tamil cinema through Lubber Pandhu and has since appeared in Karuppu and Nooru Saami, becoming a recognised name in the industry.
