The teaser for Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan is out, marking Jiiva's reunion with director M Rajesh 16 years after Siva Manasula Sakthi. The clip shows Jiiva and Sudhakar crashing a wedding in an inebriated state, with Sudhakar motivating Jiiva to enter politics by referencing CM Vijay's journey — drawing a parallel to Vijay's film where he crashes a wedding and marries the heroine. The teaser closes with a birthday wish for the Chief Minister.

However, the teaser feels dated in its approach, and the Vijay reference comes across as forced rather than organic. For a film expected to be a comedy, little in the teaser actually lands as funny.

The film also stars Ivana, Rethika Srinivas, Abdool Lee and Bagavathi Perumal, among others, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. A release date is yet to be announced.
