Vijay Sethupathi and director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi are joining forces for a yet-untitled film, officially announced on Thursday by producer Sagar Pentela of Rise East Entertainment, in association with IVY Entertainment. It marks the first collaboration between the two and reunites Rise East Entertainment with Kiruthiga after the 2022 web series Paper Rocket.

Production is set to begin in Pondicherry next week. Details on the film's genre, story and additional cast remain undisclosed, though online buzz suggests it ranks among the most expensive projects in Vijay Sethupathi's career.

The technical team includes cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, composer OfRo and art director Selvakumar. This is also Kiruthiga's first project announcement following last year's Kadhalikka Neramillai.
