Arjun Das and Anna Ben's crime comedy Con City has locked in June 26 as its release date, with the makers dropping a new poster to mark the announcement.
Directed by debutant Harish Durairaj, the film's title teaser had earlier laid out a delightfully chaotic premise: a lightning strike causes a receipt printer to malfunction and start printing Rs 500 notes, turning a struggling family's fortunes overnight. As the family, played by Arjun Das, Anna Ben, Yogi Babu, and Vadivukkarasi, comes to terms with their unexpected windfall, the chaos that follows when society catches wind of the money-making machine forms the crux of the story.
The film boasts a sprawling ensemble including VTV Ganesh, Thambi Ramaiah, Ramesh Thilak, Radha Ravi, Ponvannan, Baradwaj Rangan, and several others. Sean Roldan scores the music, Aravind Viswanathan handles cinematography, Arulmoses A edits, and Raj Kamal takes care of art direction. Power House Pictures produces in association with M&M Movie Makers and Klout Studios. Con City will release in Tamil and Telugu.
