The makers of Carmeni Selvam, starring Samuthirakani and Gautham Vasudev Menon, have announced that the film will release in theatres on April 3 in Tamil and Telugu.

Samuthirakani plays the titular role in the film, which also stars Lakshmi Priya, Abhinaya, Karthik Kumar, Badava Gopi, Madhumitha, Arjunan, Sankara Narayan V, Haritha Parakod, Kothandam, and Karan Chakravarthi.

Directed by Ram Chakri, the film revolves around Selvam, a man who has been living a peaceful life but gradually develops a greed for money, setting off a chain of events that drive the story forward.

Carmeni Selvam is produced by Arun Rangarajulu, with Sree Saravanan serving as the creative producer under the Pathway Productions banner. In a first, the film’s music is composed by Musicloud Studio and Technologies. The technical crew includes cinematographer Yuvraj Dakshan, editors Jagan RV and Dinesh S, and production designer Shankar.
