Director H. Vinoth has indirectly addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the censor delay of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, while speaking about Raju Murugan’s My Lord in a recent interaction with Cinema Vikatan.
Praising My Lord for exploring deeply rooted political themes, Vinoth drew a subtle comparison between the film’s reception and the challenges faced by his own project. Referring to Sasikumar’s character being supported by journalists in the film, he remarked that when he speaks about politics, “no one comes to save me,” hinting at what he sees as a lack of media backing.
Though Vinoth did not directly name Jana Nayagan or the censorship issue, his comments were widely interpreted as a reference to the film’s delay in securing clearance. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the makers have withdrawn their legal case, with the film now awaiting a decision from the CBFC Revising Committee.
The remarks have since gained traction among Vijay fans, adding further discussion around the film’s censor developments.
