Actor Dhanush’s latest outing Idli Kadai has taken a fantastic opening at the box office, registering double-digit numbers in Tamil Nadu on its first day. While the film saw relatively dull advance bookings, strong positive word of mouth helped it gain momentum through the day. From evening shows onwards, the film witnessed housefull screenings, especially in B and C centres, signaling a strong hold across urban and rural belts.

Produced by Dawn Pictures and co-produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, Idli Kadai has also been released in Telugu under the title Idli Kottu.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Shalini Pandey, and R. Parthiban in key roles. The music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, whose soundtrack has already struck a chord with audiences.

With its early trend showing promising growth, trade experts believe Idli Kadai could emerge as one of the biggest hits in Dhanush’s career, provided the strong word of mouth continues to sustain footfalls in the coming days.
