Suriya Donates 10 Crore to Agaram Foundation from Retro Profits

In a generous gesture, popular Tamil actor Suriya has donated ₹10 crore from the profits of his latest blockbuster, Retro, to the Agaram Foundation — a charitable trust founded by the actor himself to support underprivileged students in pursuing quality education.

The donation was made ahead of the Retro success event held in Chennai, where photos captured the moment Suriya officially handed over the cheque to the foundation's team.

Retro, which has turned out to be a major box-office success, raked in over ₹80 crore in its first week, and has now crossed a massive ₹104 crore worldwide gross within five days of release. The impressive numbers were confirmed by the film’s producers, 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films, through a new promotional poster.

Directed and written by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is a multi-genre period film featuring Pooja Hegde as the female lead. The film carries a U/A certificate and runs for 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 30 seconds.
