Coolie starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead is an upcoming Tamil language action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. A multi-starrer with an ensemble of Rajinikanth as Deva, Nagarjuna as Simon, Upendra as Kaleesha, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, Sathyaraj as Rajasekar, Shruti Haasan as Preethi, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Aamir Khan (cameo appearance), Pooja Hegde (cameo appearance), among others, Coolie is a production venture of Sun Pictures. 

Latest we hear, Coolie teaser is gearing up for a release on March 14, 2025 marking director Lokesh Kangaraj's birthday. An official announcement on the same is however awaited. Coolie is Rajinikanth's 171st film, and has Anirudh Ravichander for music. Incidentally March 14, 2025 also marks the celebration of Holi, a festival celebrated religiously by Rajinikanth because of the significance it holds for the actor.

The Tamil Coolie titled after the 1983 Amitabh Bachchan Hindi classic, plans to release in August, 2025.
