Thalapathy 68 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's next movie after Leo (2023) and the film is currently in shooting stages. Latest update on the film is that it is based on concept of time-travel and artificial intelligence (AI). While there are no official confirmations on the same, Thalapathy 68 has previously been in the news for using AI technology for a song shoot. The makers had even unveiled working stills of Vijay doing a test run for the same in USA. 

Thalapathy 68 is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu who has previously given a time-loop hit titled Maanaadu (2021). It comes across as extremely likely that the filmmaker has dabbed in the genre yet again. Thalapathy 68 is backed by AGS Productions and the multi-starrer film has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music.
