2 months ago a Tamil YouTube channel came out with the shocking claim that Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan and music composer D. Imman are not on good terms. Without explicitly revealing names, this blind video also suggested that D. Imman who has had a long-standing professional and friendly relationship with Sivakarthikeyan, had to divorce his first wife of 13 years because of an alleged affair between her and the actor. [Worth mentioning here that Sivakarthikeyan is a married man himself with 2 small kids]. 

Recently, D. Imman added fuel to this by giving out statements himself. In an interview with another Tamil YouTube channel, the National award winning music composer confirmed his rift with Sivakarthikeyan and said, 

"...In this lifetime, it is difficult to journey together with Sivakarthikeyan again. I cannot collaborate with him for personal reasons. I cannot talk about the big betrayal that he did to me. In future, I cannot team up with him. Maybe in the next lifetime if I'm a music composer and he's an actor as well, then maybe it would be possible...

 

...I would definitely not be doing any of his films in the future..And its not like I haven't confronted him directly about this betrayal. From my end, I have asked (why he did so). I cannot reveal his answers..If I'm being covert about certain things, keeping certain things under wraps it is only for one reason - children's future [D. Imman also has 2 kids with ex-wife Monica Richard]. I am not worried about what this world has to say about me...

 

...The distress, pain and sadness I've endured is not only because of him [Sivakarthikeyan]. But he is a big reason for it. He is also a reason. Because I've known him for years, known him like a family, when this particular thing happened through him, I couldn't accept it an it gave me immense pain and distress..."

 

Though D. Imman made no mention of an affair, he did say that even if Sivakarthikeyan asks for forgiveness, Imman may give it but he won't be able to forget what Sivakarthikeyan did to him. D. Imman's blunt statements lead to raised eyebrows, and has now prompted Monica Richard to come out and clear her name and Sivakarthikeyan's equation in her relationship with D. Imman. In an interview with popular Tamil outlet Vikatan, Monica Richard also clarifies, 

"Sivakarthikeyan is our family friend. A very decent person..He came to mediate between us so that we (Imman and her) don't get divorced. He also took peace efforts thinking that we should live in harmony and that a family should not get disintegrated...

 

...Sivakarthikeyan did not support Iman's divorce decision. Imman didn't like that. I understand that Imman's claim of betrayal from Sivakarthikeyan is in context to this, but outside people have been interpreting this differently. Generally family friends would not want friends' family to get separated right? What wrong has Sivakarthikeyan done here then?...

 

...Imman divorced me only a year after readying another fiancee..I had to choose between my kids and spousal support..I came out of that life with nothing, and now I run a successful company...Why does Imman who left all by himself, has to speak about us now?...He didn't think how much his words from YouTube would affect Sivakarthikeyan and his family, more than me...

 

..Sivakarthikeyan who wanted to do good for us is now facing embarrassment. I feel sorry for this. That too Sivakarthiyan spoke only during the (relationship) mediation time. That's it. Apart from that, I don't talk to him at all."
