Leo starring actor Vijay in the lead is gearing up to release in theaters on October 19, 2023, and the movie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has TENET (2020) actor Denzel Smith playing a small role in it. A Bollywood character artiste with a theater background, Denzel Smith is making his Kollywood debut with Leo. On working with 'Thalapathy' Vijay and director Lokesh, the actor recently stated in a media interaction,

"Leo is my first Tamil film. I have acted with Vijay for 3 days. I was most touched and impressed with his discipline (on sets). Director Lokesh (Kanagaraj) was very clear about what he wanted to direct..It's a fantastic film"

 

Touted to be part of Lokesh's cinematic universe known as the LCU, Leo is the third film in that world after Karthi starrer Kaithi (2019) and Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram (2022). The movie is a production venture of 7 Screen Studio and also stars Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role.
