Pesum Padam [Pushpak in Hindi] the first Indian film to release without any dialogues in the post silent era, and the 1987 movie starring Kamal Haasan, Amala Akkineni in the lead was written and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Kamal Haasan's home production banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) has announced that this classic movie will re-release in theaters soon, delighting Kamal Haasan fans everywhere.

Pesum Padam follows the story an unemployed graduate who is forced to steal a rich man's identity. The tides quickly turn when he realises that a contract killer is on the hunt to kill the man he is impersonating. A pioneer in its genre, Pesum Padam won a National Award for 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment' in 1988.
