Actor Karthi is currently gearing up for the release of his 24th film Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 and he is also busy shooting for his 25th film Japan. Karthi 26, his next project is said to be a Studio Green production and it will be directed by Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kaadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016) fame. 

Latest buzz on this project is that actress Krithi Shetty will be playing female lead in the movie. Krithi made her Tamil debut with the Lingusamy directed 2022 bilingual titled The Warrior. Vanangaan with actor Suriya and director Bala was supposed to be her direct Tamil film before the project was shelved. 

Nalan Kumarasamy is said to be reuniting with music composer Santhosh Narayanan for this Karthi-Krithi Shetty film.
