Disney Plus Hotstar in India is loosing all its HBO content and subscribers of the OTT platform in the country, are considerably unhappy with the news. Staring March 31, 2023 [Friday], the streaming platform in India will loose access to HBO originals like Game of Thrones (GOT), The Last of US, House of Dragons, Perry Mason, The White Lotus, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Little Lies among other series, and most likely movies like The Menu, Don't Worry Darling, See How They Run among other English language films. 

Starting 31st March, HBO content will be unavailable on Disney+ Hotstar. You can continue enjoying Disney+ Hotstar’s vast library of content spanning over 100,000 hours of TV Shows and Movies in 10 languages and coverage of major global sporting events.

HBO Max does not exist in India and the HBO catalogue available to India, has been streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar since 2016. Buzz has it that HBO Max is unlikely to launch in India in the near future and the content will most likely end up with another streaming platform like Amazon Prime Video or the like.
