An official announcement on Thalapathy 67, actor Vijay's next movie after Varisu was highly anticipated to be made tomorrow i.e January 26 2023 marking Republic day. However Thalapathy 67 director Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that the announcement will come only in the first week of February, 2023. The filmmaker said this while attending a college event today and has said that Varisu is doing extraoridnarily well in theaters even on day 15; so the filmmakers did not want to shift focus of the fans and audience from the same. 

Recently team Varisu including director Vamshi Paidipally, producer Dil Raju and actors Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Shaam and Sarathkumar were spotted celebrating the film's success at the latter's residence. Some stills from the success meet here:
