If the latest buzz is anything to go by then actor Arvind Swami has been approached to play villain in actor Ajith starrer AK 62 (tentative title), which is a production venture of Lyca Productions and directorial venture of Vignesh Shivan.

Ajith and Arvind Swami have shared screen space in the the 1994 Tamil movie Paasamalargal where the latter played the lead. Arvind Swami, who had also made news for being asked to play villain in Valimai (2022), could not take up that offer due to his Thalaivii (2021) commitments [He played MGR in that Jayalalithaa biopic]. 

It remains to be seen if Arvind Swami signs the dotted lines on AK 62. Word also has it that actor Santhanam, who is now back to accepting character roles besides playing lead, is onboard AK 62. AK 62 has long been speculated to be a two-heroine subject with Nayanthara playing one of the leads; Actress Trisha has also in recent times been linked to the film.

AK 62 is expected to begin shooting this year and has Anirudh for music. Interestingly Ajith is said be taking a year and a half break from acting post the completion of this movie.
