Director Bala famously started his next directorial Vanangaan with Suriya in the lead, but the actor recently announced that not only was he dropping out from acting in the movie, but also producing the film. Latest we hear, Bala will be restaring Vanangaan from February, 2023 and Arun Vijay will be replacing Suriya to play the deaf and mute character. 

Vanangaan has GV Prakash for music and also stars Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju among others. It remains to be seen if the movie will also release in Telugu as Achaludu, as originally planned.
