Vadhandhi - The Fable of Velonie is an upcoming crime thriller series created and directed by Andrew Louis of Kolaigaran (2019) fame. Actor SJ Suryah makes his digital debut with this OTT series, which is produced by director duo Pushkar-Gayathri. The trailer of Vandhandhi which is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on December 2, is out now. 

It reveals that SJ Suryah plays a cop named Vivek, who takes charge of the investigation of the murder of 18 year old named Velonie. Velonie's body is found in a remote area of Tirunelveli district in 2018, and SJ Suryah in a thick Nellai accent is found retracing the steps of this sensational case [In real life, the 54 year old actor-filmmaker was born and raised in the same district]. 

What SJ Suryah does to wade through a web of half-truths and confusing leads to solve the case, forms the rest of the story. Vandhandhi also stars Sanjana, Laila, Nasser, Vivek Prasanna, Hareesh Peradi, Smruthi Venkat, Kumaran Thangarajan among others.
