Vaathi (Sir in Telugu) is an upcoming action drama starring Dhanush in the lead and some new stills from the movie have been dropped by the makers. Dhanush and film's female lead Samyuktha can be seen in their respective roles from the film, which is written and directed by Venky Atluri. 

Vaathi is centered around Dhanush's character Balamurugan (Tamil) / Bala Gangadhar Tilak (Telugu) who is a junior lecturer at Thirupati Educational Institute. The story is about him standing against the institutes, who provide education in exchange for business profits.

Vaathi/Sir movie is produced by Fortune Four Cinemas, Sithara Entertainment and has GV Prakash for music.
