Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko raked up a controversy last month when he seemingly took a dig on Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar. During a Malayalam interview when asked if Beast was a good entry for him into Tamil movies, the actor said, "Beast film itself is not a good entry to Tamil cinema..."

The actor was then questioned if he saw the trolls about his scene with Vijay where he is being lifted off by the actor like a luggage bag. To this Chacko responded in the affirmative and said, "One should see the strain something heavy being lifted in the face. But, Vijay did not show anything like that in the movie. Vijay Sir cannot be blamed for that. The film crew is the reason."

Chacko seems to be regretting making these statements in the media and he recently expressed the same through social media comments. Under an Instagram post by a Vijay fan page, Shine Tom Chacko said, "Am really sorry for what I spoke through media.... it's my own mistake... sry nanban...bcoz wn v speak bad ABT anything or anybody it really hurts a lot to those who like tht thing or to those who love that person (sic)"
