MovieCrow had reported previously that Vijay starrer Beast has recorded the highest opening ever in Tamil Nadu, with a day 1 box-office collection of Rs. 38 Cr. This was recently corroborated by Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association President Thiruppur Subramaniam and he has stated that this was possible due to the availability of 1100+ screens for Beast on day 1.
#Beast movie was given almost 1100+ screens in TN on Day-1 (April-13) including all big screens. [KGF-2 released on April-14]#Beast has acquired All-time highest opening day collections record in TN.

MovieCrow had also reported that Beast crossed Rs. 50 Cr. in Tamil Nadu box-office within just 2 days and the movie went on to do well in the first five days of its release, despite receiving mixed reviews.
Monday evening shows will be the litmus test for the film's prolonged run.

This too has been confirmed by Thiruppur Subramaniam who has said that the holiday season was the reason for Beast doing excellent box-office numbers in the first 5 days, despite facing KGF: Chapter 2 as a strong competitor from day 2.
