Actor Ranveer Singh will next be seen in a comedy-drama titled Jayeshbhai Jordaar, in which he plays a very controlled son of a village head, while also being a father of a girl. The trailer of Jayeshbhai Jordaar dropped today and it reveals how Ranveer's character struggles with accepting his family's age-old views and wanting a grandson to carry their legacy forward.

The video shows that when his wife (Shalini Pandey) becomes pregnant with another girl, Ranveer's normally subdued character rises to the occassion and even shows willingness to sacrifice his manhood for the safety of his loved ones [A first by an Indian film protagonist].

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is written and directed by Divyang Thakkar and has been produced by Maneesh Sharma for Yash Raj Films. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 13, 2022.
