Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is a big budget Mohanlal starrer which has awaited release since March 26, 2020. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Malayalam film producer Antony Perumbaoor, who recently announced in the media that he has been unable to reach middle ground with Kerala theater owners over the film's release. 

Stating that the film will now release directly on an OTT platform (Perambaoor did not mention which OTT platform), the producer also added that five of his upcoming productions with Mohanlal will follow the same route. List below are the five films starring Mohanlal which will now release directly on OTT.

1. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (Directed by Priyadarshan)
2. Bro Daddy (Directed by Prithviraj)
3. 12th Man (Directed by Jeethu Joseph)
4. Alone (Directed by Shaji Kailas)
5. Untitled film (Directed by Vyshak)

Of these, Bro Daddy was previously reported to be premiering on Disney Plus Hotstar.
