Here is how Navarasa helped 12000 film industry workers!

9-part Tamil series Navarasa which premiered on Netflix on August 6, 2021 was a charity project conceived by directors Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan. The two filmmakers put together a team of directors, actors and technicians who agreed to do the project for free and earnings from the short-films were used to help film industry workers who were impacted during the COVID-19 lockdown. 

 

Bhoomika Trust India, the organization that partnered with Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan on this journey recently unveiled a video that elaborates on how Rs. 15 Cr. was used in helping 12000 workers over a period of 6 months. Here's a look:
