Tamil family drama Mayandi Kudumbathar is coming up with a sequel and the official announcement about the movie is expected this evening. Mayandi Kumbathar 2 will be produced by Sri Vaari Film and the first look of the movie will be unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi, Arya, RJ Balaji and Parthieban.

10 movie directors were cast in the 2009 movie directed by Rasu Madhuravan and the plot surrounded the complicated dynamics of a big family in rural Tamil Nadu. Nanda Periyasamy is the director of the sequel starring Gautham Karthik, Cheran with Siddhu Kumar for music.
