Suriya is currently in home quarantine post his COVID-19 treatment but his upcoming film with director Pandiraj began shooting sans the actor this morning. While Suriya is expected to join the shooting spot soon, word has it that comedian Vadivelu has been roped in to play an important character in the movie.

Suriya and Vadivelu had last shared screen space in 2009 movie Aadhavan but their on-screen chemistry has shined in many memorable movies like Vel (2007), Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006), Aaru (2005) and the iconic Friends (2001). Suriya 40 produced by Sun Pictures will also be Vadivelu's first proper movie since Mersal in 2017.
