Sanga Thalaivan, starring Samuthirakani, VJ Ramya, Karunas among others is director Vetrimaaran's upcoming production. The film which has been in the making for a while now has finally set a release date and actor Dhanush has announced it to be February 26, 2021.  

Sanga Thalaivan is based on Bharathinathan's Tamil novel titled 'Thariyudan', which revolves around weavers and the issues in the textile industry in the westerns districts of Tamil Nadu. Samuthirakani plays a union leader in the movie, which is directed by Manimaran.
