One movie that has piqued interest among Tamil movie buffs is the upcoming thriller Vikram, which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. After it was suggested that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will be playing a negative role in the movie, it is now being said that Prabhu Deva has given his nod to play a pivotal character in the film.

If true, Prabhu Deva and Kamal Haasan will be re-uniting on-screen after their 1998 movie Kaathala Kaathala, which was a super-hit cult comedy. Vikram named after Kamal Haasan's 1986 action-adventure of the same name and is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.

The film is expected to go on floors in 2021 and release before the elections in May. Anirudh is composing music for this movie, which is said to come with strong political and neo-noir undertones.
