Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie Doctor was one of the few Tamil films to begin post production in a COVID-19 Kollywood. Latest buzz surrounding the film is that it plans to release for Christmas this year, considering normalcy prevails by then in movie theaters of Tamil Nadu. 

Before the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, Doctor had shot for 30 days in Goa as a part of its final schedule. The movie if released on December 25, 2020 will be Sivakarthikeyan's second release for Christmas after Hero. Doctor is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is bankrolled by KJR Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Productions.
