In addition to donating Rs. 50 lakh to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), actor Rajinikanth will be aiding 1000 families from the  South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA) aka the Nadigar Sangam. The Coronavirus pandemic has the country under lockdown for the past 35+ days and one of the major difficulties for families have been trying to procure proper groceries that can sustain them in quarantine life. 

Rajinikanth will be aiding exactly this need for it is being said that the Superstar is said to be providing grocery essentials such as rice, dhal, oil among other things.
