After his two open letters to the Central government, criticizing the way they have handled the Coronavirus pandemic in India, actor-politician Kamal Haasan has once again warned the center of something that according to him is a 'ticking bomb'. Taking to twitter, Haasan recently expressed:
All the balcony people take a long and hard look at the ground. First it was Delhi, now Mumbai.
— Kamal Haasan (@ikamalhaasan) April 14, 2020
The migrant crisis is a time bomb that must be defused before it becomes a crisis bigger than Corona. Balcony government must keep their eyes on what's happening on the ground too.
Kamal Haasan's tweet comes at a time when more than 1,000 migrant workers, who have been stranded in Mumbai with no income for the last three weeks demanded transporation facilities to return to their hometown after PM Narendra Modi extended the lockdown till May 3, 2020.
Since these daily wage workers are also faced with no-income and are stranded throughout the country with little to no facilities, Haasan's call for immediate action comes across as vital.
