Disney's streaming service Disney+, which was originally supposed to launch in India on March 29 but got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic is finally live in the country. And just as promised, the existing Hotstar VIP and Premium subscribers have been given access to the contents of Disney+ and Hotstar.

And after a virtual red carpet premiere last evening featuring Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor, Rana Daggubati and Tiger Shroff among others, Disney+ Hotstar premiered The Lion King followed by The Mandalorian.

 Disney+ Hotstar is available with two subscription options: Disney+ Hotstar VIP is offered at Rs. 399 per year while Disney+ Hotstar Premium is available at Rs. 1,499 per year which includes all Disney+ Hotstar VIP content in addition to Disney+ originals, shows from HBO, Fox and Showtime.
