Social media was abuzz this morning with the news of actor politician Kamal Haasan being put under quarantine, a status usually given for those suspected to have the COVID-19 Coronavirus. Turns out the whole ordeal was a huge misunderstanding, thanks to the confusing stickers provided by the Chennai corporation.
Homes of COVID-19 suspects are marked with stickers that says 'COVID-19/Do Not Visit/Home Under Quarantine' where the one outside Kamal Haasan's home was supposedly for self-isolation that said 'We are in Home Quarantine to safeguard ourselves and Chennai from Corona'.
@ikamalhaasan is fine and healthy. @Chennai corporation Officals has clarified that it there is a mistake. Nothing to worry about. நம்மவர் நலமுடன் இருக்கிறார். @maiamofficial @YouthWingMNM @MaiamITOfficial @MouryaMNM @ckknaturals @drmahendran_r @UmadeviMNM @SnehanOfficial pic.twitter.com/RC6iM2JWUV

Owing to the ruckus created over Haasan's residence sticker, the Chennai Corporation has now removed the sticker with the the Corporation Commissioner clarifying, "It could have been an error due to a wrong address."
