Dhanush's starrer Pattas hit the screens worldwide on January 15 on the occasion of Pongal. The film has taken a bumper opening in TamilNadu. Pattas has collected Rs. 6.5 cr on its opening day in TN. In Chennai city, the film has raked in Rs.51 lakhs. Dhanush has got a fantastic start at the Box Office at the beginning of the year at the Box Office. Pattas is expected to rake in the moolah with the festival holidays extending up to Sunday.  

Pattas starring Dhanush, Sneha, Mehreen Pirzada directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and has music by composer duo Vivek - Mervin. The core of the film is based on the ancient martial art Adimurai.
