Superstar Rajinikanth enjoys a huge fan following in Karnataka which is evident from the Box Office collections of his films in the state. Rajinikanth has proved his dominance once again with his latest release "Darbar" which hit the screens worldwide on January 9. The film has been doing extremely good business in all regions in it opening weekend. In Karnataka, the film has collected Rs. 12.05 cr in its 4-day extended weekend.

The film's rights were sold for Rs. 9 cr and has recovered 70% of its investment already in just 4 days. Darbar is expected to achieve break-even mark by the end of second weekend. The film has to gross Rs. 18 cr to achieve break-even. Superstar's '2Point0' and 'Kabali' still hold the first two spots in the list of Highest grossing Tamil movies in Karnataka. Darbar has got all the potential to make it to the Top 5 list by the end of its theatrical run.
