Deepika Padukone's upcoming film Chhapaak which will have her portray the life of acid-attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal is all set for a trailer launch. Director Meghna Gulzar announced via a print interview that her film's trailer will be unveiled on World Human Rights Day i.e. December 10, 2019 and Padukone confirmed the same via her social media handles today.
Gulzar was quoted on the release date as saying, “It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. I really couldn’t have asked for better synchronicity for the release date of our film.”
Chhappak will see Deepika play Malti, with Vikrant Massey playing her love interest. The movie is scheduled for a release in January, 2020.
