The shooting of Thalapathy 64 is progressing at a brisk pace. The team recently wrapped a long schedule in Delhi. While we had reported the team will be shooting its next schedule in Karnataka, looks like the team will be shooting in Chennai first. According to sources, a 5-day shoot has been planned in the capital city before commencing the Shimoga schedule. 

Reportedly Vijay Sethupathi will be joining the team soon to shoot for his portions. The introduction song and important action sequences have been shot by the team already. Malavika Mohanan plays the leading lady. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film which has music by Anirudh Ravichander is bankrolled by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators. The title and first look of he film is expected to be unveiled on New Year 2020. Thalapathy 64 is slated for Summer 2020 release.
