Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe (Egghead) was a 2017 sleeper-hit, which showcased a 28-year-old alopecic lecturer becoming the butt of jokes due to his premature balding and trying to find his forever love amidst it. This story-line is now being re-enacted in Bollywood and interestingly in two of their movies - Bala and Ujda Chaman. 

What makes this situation even more interesting is that both these films are lined up for back to back releases on November 7, 2019 and November 8, 2019 respectively. While the Ujda Chaman trailer starring Sunny Singh looked like an amped up version of Ondu Motteya Kathe, the newly released Bala trailer starring Ayushmann Khurrana comes with little to minute differences.

While Ondu Motteya Kathae was written and directed by Raj B Shetty, Danish J Singh, Abhishek Pathak are credited as the writer and director of Ujda Chaman and Niren Bhatt, Amar Kaushik as the same for Bala. Which of these films will captivate the audience with their story of "a bald man and his fortunes of becoming a suitable groom", is something only time can tell.
