An update on Vijay's Bigil trailer is finally here and the makers have confirmed that the video will be released on October 12, 2019 (Saturday) at 6 PM. "Get ready for the Meratal trailer of our Thalapathy’s #Bigil", wrote producer Archana Kalpathi while releasing a special announcement poster for the same.  

Touted to be a sports-drama based on women's football, Bigil will see Vijay essaying dual role of father and son and the film also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma, Aiyer and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.

The film is directed by Atlee and has A.R. Rahman for music.
