Vijay starrer Bigil directed by Atlee is one of the hugely anticipated films in Kollywood which is hitting the screens for Diwali. According to sources, the much-awaited trailer of Bigil is set to be released this week and speculations are rife that the trailer might be unveiled on October 2 or 3. Director Atlee had revealed during the film's audio launch event that he is planning to release Bigil trailer in the first week of October. However an official announcement is awaited from the makers on the same.

The news has excited Vijay fans already who are eagerly awaiting the film's release. The film is said to be a sports-drama based on women's football. Vijay essays dual role as the father and a football coach. The film also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma, Aiyer and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
