Director Mysskin is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Psycho, which is touted to be a psychological thriller starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen in the lead. The movie which has music by Ilayaraja and cinematography by P.C. Sreeram has recently been revealed to be Mysskin's version of Buddha and his loyal devotee who was once a criminal, Angulimala. 

Speaking about the same, Mysskin was quoted in a recent interview as saying,

"There is a story in Buddhist literature about Angulimala. While trying to reach a village, Buddha is advised against taking his route through the forest because of a murderer there who kills people and wears their little finger as his prized garland. Buddha takes the route saying, 'How can I avoid death which is staring right in front of me?'.

On Buddha's return from the forest Angulimala follows Buddha with his head down. What might have happened between the two has been imagined by various story-tellers and Psycho is my own version of the same."

Udhayanidhi Stalin plays a vision-impaired man named Gauthaman in this movie, an analogy of Buddha in the story. Mysskin has revealed that Angulimala has been played by a new comer.
