Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 52nd birthday today. On this special occasion, the actor has surprised his fans by announcing the details of his new film on social media. The news has already excited the fans of the actor. Akshay is all set to play the historic hero "Prithviraj Chauhan" in the magnum opus titled "Prithviraj". Prithviraj Chauhan fought several battles including foiling the early invasions by Muhammad of Ghor, a ruler of the Ghurid dynasty. Directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, YRF will be bankrolling the project. The film is slated for Diwali 2020 release.

Akshay Kumar who is basking in the success of his latest outing "Mission Mangal", is looking forward to the release of Housefull 4 and Good News later this year. His other upcoming projects in the pipeline include Rohit Shetty's cop drama Sooryavanshi, Raghava Lawrence's horror comedy Laxmmi Bomb and Bachchan Pandey.
