Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles directed by Jagan Shakthi hit the screens worldwide on August 15. The film has a fantastic start at the Box Office by earning Rs. 29.16 cr on its opening day. The film performed extremely well over the extended weekend (Aug 15-19) and minted Rs. 97.56 cr. The film has emerged as Akshay Kumar's biggest opener till date.

Mission Mangal is having a strong hold at the Box Office on the weekdays as well. The film collected Rs. 8.91 cr on Monday and made an entry into the coveted Rs. 100 cr club on its fifth day which also marks Akshay's fastest film to have crossed this milestone. The film has raked in Rs. 114.39 cr in six days. At this pace, the film is expected to cross Rs. 127 crore by the end of its first week. 

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures of Mission Mangal on his social media page. He wrote, "#MissionMangal  is trending very well on weekdays... Should comfortably cross 127 cr in *extended* Week 1... Will challenge *lifetime biz* of #Kesari in Week 2... Thu 29.16 cr, Fri 17.28 cr, Sat 23.58 cr, Sun 27.54 cr, Mon 8.91 cr, Tue 7.92 cr. Total: ₹ 114.39 cr. India biz."
